Meet Miss Dior: a fashionista with a Data-like logical side. Married to Captain Picard: a Linux lord with Jean-Luc Picard patience. On a chilly January night in 2005, a journey through space and time began for us when we decided to expand our family through adoption. Our journey to find the child meant for us has led us all over the galaxy, but in the end, we've come back home to adopt a child domestically.

Through Her Eyes

Today, we got to experience our baby's first Christmas with Picard's family. True to her character since birth, Alexa stared down every bit of sparkle and glitter and charmed everyone in her midst with smiles, giggles and squeals. She even tackled opening her present from Santa with passion and dedication to getting the job done. Here are the highlights from our fabulous day.

Alright. Let me get my strategy. First, I'll tear open this corner.

Darn. I can't get it with my hands. Guess I'll have to try my teeth. Oh wait. I don't have teeth.

Cooome Oooooonnnn! What's in there?

No way! How did Santa know I like to cook with Momma? He got me my very own cooking set!

And now I have to take it out of the box? Are you people kidding me?

Hey Greg and Lori! Daddy says to say thank you for the cool Christmas outfit!

Daaaaadddd! I'm trying to catch a snuggle with Momma before we drive home!

How sweet!! Christmas is much better when you have wee ones around. It allows one to see the holiday from another aspect. Belated Merry Christmas and have a Very Happy New Year

I remember the days when the girls had more fun playing with the box the toys came in than with the actual toys. Those days are long gone for me! Cherish each day....they grow up so fast!
