Meet Miss Dior: a fashionista with a Data-like logical side. Married to Captain Picard: a Linux lord with Jean-Luc Picard patience. On a chilly January night in 2005, a journey through space and time began for us when we decided to expand our family through adoption. Our journey to find the child meant for us has led us all over the galaxy, but in the end, we've come back home to adopt a child domestically.

My Buddy and Me

This is Alexa hanging out in the bathroom with me while I shower and put on makeup. It's our new routine since Alexa now sprinkles the day with lots of short, light cat naps, but only takes one long nap. I'm sure to the untrained eye she looks sound asleep, but I assure you if she was in any other room besides the one with me, this peaceful look would not have been on her face.

Watcha cooking Mom? This is Alexa watching me throw some spaghetti and meatballs together for dinner.

Do you see it? Alexa has changed so much over the past few days. We got her out of bed on Saturday and it was like, heeellllloooo chubs! Just a few days later and you can see a new definition to her face. She still has the squeezable and kissable cheeks, but check out her newly defined sweetheart chin!

*We're working on the family pic. Next time we have someone over to visit we'll get a family shot :)

Alexa has changed so much just since the I saw her at the baby shower. She has gotten more gorgeous if thats at all possible. I love the chubby cheeks and the cute chin. I bet you can't stop yourself kissing her every chance you get. There is no mistake in my mind that God had this all planned out right from the beginning. She fits right in with you and Al. I know she will bring years and years of happiness for you.

What a doll!!! She is too cute for words...one day I may just show up at your door so that I can see her for myself! Love the latest additions to your living room and can't wait to see those too!

What a great baby Alexa is! Or, as the saying goes, "Her mom and dad sure didn't have any dummies in THAT family!"

Isn't that cuteness wonderful? Al's bio dad and I used to elbow each other all the time, "Look, look what he's doing now! He has one eye shut!"
"Omigosh! He's smiling and he KNOWS it!"
"Look! He has his little foot in his mouth! What a contortionist! The kid is gifted!"
Then when Alexa starts laughing, you'll be over the moon, guys. We used to play peak-a-boo behind a blanket; the boys would be surprised EVERY SINGLE TIME we took the blanket away from our face (like they thought we had actually disappeared)! They giggled till their tummies shook!
At every aisle in the supermarket, I would have to stop and squeeze them and kiss their soft little cheeks because I was so grateful to have them. Such little beauties I have never seen! Until now...:) :-) PS Could you send any pictures to Tillie on her screen machine? She keeps bringing that up!
