Showered with Love

Over the past week we have been showered with love by both family and friends. To top off a fantastic week, I celebrated Alexa's arrival with my closest friends. My dearest friends Ninny Fabulous and Party Princess put together a beautiful and elegant baby shower. It was a day drenched with the celebration of a dream come true. A day where I got to hold my baby alongside all of the women who supported me on the long journey to getting the daughter Picard and I were meant to raise.

Alexa and I got dressed for the big day in coordinating outfits and smiled until our cheeks hurt. Well, actually, Alexa only visited at the beginning of the shower and then she and Daddy came back to pick me up. To be completely honest, it threw off Alexa's normal routine and she hasn't really smiled that much today. But, she'll be smiling tomorrow when she digs into all of her new toys, books and clothes.

Yep. My eyes were closed in every group picture. These amazing women are my constant supporters and source of inspiration.
