I'm having contractions!

I decided yesterday that I'm having my own version of contractions. Don't worry, I don't have bad gas and the salmonella hasn't come back. My version of a contraction is when I'm overwhelmed by the feeling that "OMG, this is real!!!" It vibrates through my whole body and makes me dizzy. Then I stop, put my hands on my waist and tell myself to take a deep breath AAAANNNND take one more. It's Lamaze for the adoptive parent, I tell you.

Sooo....I know you're all dying to hear the updates. BM called a few minutes ago and said her doctor's appointment went well. She is more progressed, but not yet officially in labor. She is more dilated, more effaced and the baby is in an even lower position. Her doctor set another appointment for next Monday, when she will have a mini procedure that may push her into labor. However, for the safety of BM and her baby, the official inducement date was set at August 11. That's a bit later than we originally thought it would be scheduled, but with all of these other labor symptoms I'm not even stressing. I'm thinking sweet pea is coming out to meet us either this week or next.

OMG, this is real!!!!! Whew, just had another contraction. Seems they're about five minutes apart now. It can't be much longer!
