Meet Miss Dior: a fashionista with a Data-like logical side. Married to Captain Picard: a Linux lord with Jean-Luc Picard patience. On a chilly January night in 2005, a journey through space and time began for us when we decided to expand our family through adoption. Our journey to find the child meant for us has led us all over the galaxy, but in the end, we've come back home to adopt a child domestically.

September Matches

Each month the Chinese Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) issues matches between adoptive parents and available children. The picture to the left is posted on the CCAA web page after the matches have been announced to the agencies and the parents. The website is www.china-ccaa.org. This month, parents who have log-in dates of November 22-25, 2005 were matched with their children. Yes, 2005. It's not a typo.

So, Picard and I will wait until this little graphic box with the twinkling star says "The CCAA has finished the placement of children whose adoption application documents were registered with our office before August 14, 2007." We will wait through the rest of 2005, all of 2006 and eight months of 2007 log-in dates.

Check for this little update every month. A few years ago, CCAA would match entire months at a time, like December 1-31 2005. Month long batches haven't been seen in a long time, but with a little hope and the power of prayer maybe we'll see larger match batches soon.
