Let the clock begin!

Around 10:30 a.m. this morning we got the e-mail that said "Congratulations! Your dossier has been logged in by CCAA!" I wasn't even looking for it when it came through. I mindlessly hit refresh on my yahoo inbox more out of habit than anything and the message popped into my e-mail. I almost fell out of my chair! Our official log-in date is Tuesday, August 14, 2007.

Yesterday I learned through research that you don't find out about your log-in date on the actual day. So, although I felt that we would be assigned a date this week, I had prepared myself to not know what that day was for a couple more weeks. I told myself "you need to make every day special because you'll never know if today is the day."

I'm happy to say that Tuesday was a very special day. We had our Professional Women's Group meeting at work and a lot of our ladies had steps to success to celebrate like getting a new job and getting a new home. I left the meeting feeling positive, motivated and generally good about the world. The night before I had taken a very special walk around the neighborhood where I had very vivid visuals of our future daughter in my head and my heart.

On top of our own good child news, two of our friends have had children this month. Congratulations Greg and Lori on baby Kelly and Congratulations Steve and Meghan on baby Hazel. Plus, I already shared that my nephews birthday is this month and so is my Mom's Husband's birthday. I think it is a great month to be logged in!

I am a very happy lady! September 1 starts the official count as month number one. According to current calculations we will be counting to 21 months. I'm hoping we will be pleasantly surprised by the timeline as we have been through the paperwork process.
