20 until 30

Another long pause.... Wondering where we have been? What we have been doing? Paperwork. Always a safe answer. Since returning from vacation we have completed and notarized the paperwork for our physicals, TB tests, my employment verification letter and our adoption petition. We're cranking right along! Actually, our last four major pieces are Picard's employment verification letter, our financial status (which requires his letter), pictures of us and our passports. We're getting really close!

Only 20 days until I'm 30 so we seem to be in line with the original timeline.Once we have these last three pieces, we'll finish notarizing, then take the papers to the Secretary of State for certification. Simultaneously our home study will be submitted to immigration for approval. We'll get fingerprinted (again). And then everything will go to Chicago to be authenticated by the Chinese embassy. Then our fully compiled dossier will travel to our adoption agency to be translated and then (DEEP BREATH) to China!!!
