Meet Miss Dior: a fashionista with a Data-like logical side. Married to Captain Picard: a Linux lord with Jean-Luc Picard patience. On a chilly January night in 2005, a journey through space and time began for us when we decided to expand our family through adoption. Our journey to find the child meant for us has led us all over the galaxy, but in the end, we've come back home to adopt a child domestically.

Any of you who grew up in the 80s know exactly what I am talking about. Yes, we've done the SAFETY dance. This past weekend Picard and I trudged around Lowe's (at least 3 full laps) looking for fire extinguishers and a kiddie ladder. We finally found them on an end cap in plain sight. Of course. We needed these items prior to our home visit, which is part of our home study.

This is the kitchen fire extinguisher expertly mounted in our closet

This is the escape ladder on the left and upstairs fire extinguisher on the right -
Waiting to be expertly mounted :)

Dont' give Ava candy, that way she won't walk backwards and trip and fall and break her arm
